Let us begin with the term "healing." Healing is the process of seeing through the veils of illusion. Behind the veils we find the illusion was the thought, belief, or idea that we ever needed to healed in the first place (Like when Dorothy un-covers the Wizard of OZ by pulling back the curtains). It is seeing "the truth." Behind the veils we see that we are whole, healthy, abundant, and radiant beings of light and love. Once we see this in ourselves clearly - we will automatically see it in every living being we encounter. Our work then, is to see it in ourselves first and foremost.

To begin the process of healing we must be committed to un-covering the veils (the false beliefs, ideas, and thoughts) to see the truth. When we see it, healing happens in an instant. It can take a lifetime or one second to get to it. It's really up to you and Reiki healer the agreements your soul has that determines how long it will take. The most important thing to do is set the intention for healing to occur, and the second most important thing is to allow it to happen. By "allowing" I mean that you get out of the way. You make the choice to trust that you will see through the veils and know for certain that you were always healed in the first place. If you are "trying" to get there, it is very likely to elude you. However, if you're "willing" to see it, then you will.
Now let me address the term "spiritual." Spiritual can be a tricky word in today's society. It brings up many different things, for many different people. I see spiritual as going within to un-cover the veil and see the god essence that is present. You may call it God, Spirit, Energy, The Universe, Allah, Buddha, Krishna, Yahweh, Vedanta, Vishnu, and the list goes on. It matters not what you call it, what matters is the essence of what "it" is. Words only point to "it." "It" being the all that is, that resides in all of us, that contains all "the stuff" that we are all made up of. We are essentially made up of the same stuff. Energy is never destroyed, it only changes form. The energy that is currently You, will never be destroyed, it will only change form. This is a scientific law of the universe. So, spiritual is quite literally everywhere, whether you believe it or not.
This brings us to Spiritual Healing. Spiritual Healing is the process of going within to un-covering the veils of illusion and seeing our Devine essence as the light, beauty, and love that we already are, and always were, and to quite simply see it, acknowledge it, appreciate it, honor it, and bless it, within ourselves. It begins within. There are many ways and many paths on this journey. No one path is the "right way." It is "right" according to your agreement with your soul and the lessons it came to learn on this planet. Spiritual Healing will occur when you and your soul agree together, to make the choice to see it. It happens in an instant. It can take a lifetime, or a second to get there, but once you see it you will never see yourself, other people, places or things the same again.
Prior to Pentecost, the disciples performed healing miracles even though they did not understand Jesus' words about his coming death and resurrection. When the pouring out of the Spirit came at Pentecost, it was an event of great power and fire. All four Gospels relate that the coming of the Spirit was like the sound of wind-actually, the sound of an immense amount of energy. The Spirit descended in the form of flames (powerful energy) and then it transformed all those present. Immediately, they went out to preach to those they had been afraid of just the day before. We are told that "awe came upon every one" -they were powerfully transformed by this experience and strengthened to carry out Jesus' mission.
The Work of the Early Church was that of Healing
As the little community of followers increased, the Christian leaders in turn empowered others to act with compassion to those who were suffering in any way. They had learned that the source of all healing is God, and they were to be instruments through which God would then manifest wholeness and healing. In his letter to the early Church, James stated that Christian healing is not a special gift only for a few but a gift freely given to the whole community, which means it is entirely within our capabilities. In this letter we see clearly that the early Church practiced healing that included prayer, hands-on healing and anointing. For them, this was one single act.
The same Spirit who empowered Jesus in his healing ministry was now acting and working through the ministry of Peter, Stephen, Paul, and the entire Christian community. The apostles and disciples were healing just as Jesus did according to the Book of Acts. Jesus was filled with God's Spirit, and the early Christians who were healing in his name were likewise filled with the very same Spirit. Those first Christians were intoxicated with the fire of the Spirit.
How Can We Re-Discover Healing for our Churches Today?
Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry is practiced by many who have been touched by this work in a positive way or have wanted to learn a form of Christian healing for a loved one who was ill or in pain. For many, it is a desire to be of service to others in the second half of life. Can the power of Pentecost be the driving force behind the spread of this healing work? Is the Holy Spirit the inspiration for so many to invest their time and energy in a healing ministry? A mighty wind is blowing in many Christian churches, inspiring them to create healing ministries, and opening their doors to the public, the homeless, Christian and non-Christian alike. Healing ministries of prayer, hands-on healing and anointing with essential oils (healing oils) are multiplying among churches of all denominations.
